For nearly all of my life I have either
worked long hours and / or worked multiple jobs. In 1995 I became interested in computer graphics and set out to learn more.
I was working part time at Happy Acres Kampground in 2004 when the owner and good friend of mine, Bill Davis, asked me to
attend a "Sublimation" seminar. He felt that we could create a variety of products that could be sold or otherwise
used as rewards, awards, and other promotional purposes for the Kampground. He was right. During the last four seasons I had
the opportunity to experiment with and develop skills using the "Sublimation" printing system. I had often thought
about going into business but the Kampground is seasonal, and I didn't have time, or an affordable location.

I decided to retire from my 'REAL' job
at the end of April, 2007 and make the Kampground my full time Summer job. That went nicely until the end of the camping season
when I found myself sitting at the computer all day and getting fat and lazy. A friend of my wife was opening a fancy cake
and candy store in nearby Silver Lake, WI., and needed some help with a display case. Naturally my wife kindly volunteered
me. In mid December, I was introduced to The Silvertown Mall and instantly fell in love with the concept. I now had the time
and I had found an affordable location. My wife bought in to the idea quickly, a trip to a book keeper, a couple licenses,
and "Shirts Happen !" opened on January 2, 2008.
